Mils

MILS (or Man is a Lonely Soldier) is a French collaborative project founded in 2008 and leaded by Josephine Lindgren, Tristan Milian and Olivier Denjean, very quickly joined by Benjamin Marmier.

The genre of the band is constantly evolving: at the beginning, close to the Trip-Hop in its eponymous album, the group then tackles a massive rock during the elaboration of its EP « We fight we love » which features singer Mélodie Pastor on most of the songs.
The two albums, difficult to classify, distinguish themselves by several collaborations around the Downtone Studio in Geneva (ch), in which Drop (<a href="spotify:artist:5YKzmXqu3KxPoBSGIF7Yii" data-name="Sybreed">Sybreed</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1WXagRGw8AveVrRxDfUjli" data-name="Samael">Samael</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5hJH9VFYVgdag6AYINvJWO" data-name="Obsydians">Obsydians</a>) officiates. Thus, the intervention of Benjamin Nominet (<a href="spotify:artist:7oT3eKrT5BvIEQdgKHZmsu" data-name="Shadow Domain">Shadow Domain</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5YKzmXqu3KxPoBSGIF7Yii" data-name="Sybreed">Sybreed</a>) in the production of &quot;King In Love&quot; had given a New Wave title, &quot;Miracle&quot; sung by Steeve FARI (<a href="spotify:artist:6o7DctlytRm6uCQk6MouR6" data-name="This Misery Garden">This Misery Garden</a>) has more vintage sounds and a film music atmosphere. &quot;NoBody&quot;, sung by Duja (<a href="spotify:artist:19cs2KhfPfMePJWGN1bJRz" data-name="Mxd">Mxd</a>) has more gothic accents.
In 2019 Mils release &quot;Perfect Holiday&quot;, a new single featuring singer Damian Weber (<a href="spotify:artist:0Y5TIF5uYuAcDtaKZVoLRw" data-name="BAK XIII">BAK XIII</a>).

The favorite influences of MILS are Depeche Mode, White Lies, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Massive Attack.
