Afro-Funk-Soul-Rocker Milton Gulli is a singer, songwriter and producer deeply immersed in the lusophone sounds, and Lisbon’s contemporary african music scene. From Mozambican descent he was born and raised in the suburbs of Lisbon, Portugal and has lived in Saudi Arabia, Madeira Island and Mozambique.
His music has always been for the people and about the people. Empowerment of the underprivileged, equality, justice, education for all and a world without borders.
He performs regularly with his solo project, also with afrofunk group Cacique'97 and the mozambican singer Selma Uamusse.
Former projects include Philharmonic Weed, Cool Hipnoise and The Grasspoppers. Milton has performed and recorded with iZem, Marcelo D2, Mercado Negro, Kimi Djabaté, Rocky Marsiano, Cabrita, Sam The Kid, Prince Wadada and others. As a producer he has worked with Simba & Milton Gulli, Azagaia, Deltino Guerreiro, Ras Skunk, Spirits Indigenous and Granmah.
He has composed the soundtrack for the mozambican film Resgate/Redemption, available on Netflix.
