Mimis Nikolopoulos is a Greek composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer.
His compositions aim to reflect his impressions of serene country roads, stories of unknown heroes and warm childhood memories.
He has developed a distinct sound, a result of fusion of his various influences from the world of evocative film music (<a href="spotify:artist:1nIUhcKHnK6iyumRyoV68C" data-name="Ennio Morricone">Ennio Morricone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1HRRbATgv6NPHs7Twm74p2" data-name="Alberto Iglesias">Alberto Iglesias</a>) the passionate folk-balkan tunes (<a href="spotify:artist:491v9k5NTGBGanwqPNSkuS" data-name="Goran Bregović">Goran Bregović</a>), the ethereal middle-eastern jazz (<a href="spotify:artist:0NSO0g40h9CTj13hKPskeb" data-name="Ibrahim Maalouf">Ibrahim Maalouf</a>) and the nostalgic soundscapes of the legendary Greek composer <a href="spotify:artist:4epy8uB6icBmTU3VoMwVzG" data-name="Manos Hadjidakis">Manos Hadjidakis</a>.
In 2017 he released his debut album "<a href="spotify:album:6hwjrDBUC2IS29eJtEbHbU" data-name="Deviation">Deviation</a>", to popular and critical acclaim. In 2018 he formed the Mimis Nikolopoulos Band and started to appear live on stage, performing a repertoire of mostly instrumental melodies intertwined with songs from around the world.
