Mimo

Mimo is a Montreal-born artist based in New York City. Her unique musical style is a blend of poetry, neo-soul and alternative R&B—a hybrid style, inspired by her experiences, that she refers to as Street Jazz. duality and agility in a stunning way, seamlessly balancing singing and rap. Her lyricism addresses the complexities of being a girl from Montreal living the NY life, woven with themes of grief, loneliness, strength of character and identity.

Her music has been featured in HXXTIC magazine, Spotify&#39;s Montreal Chill playlist, Downers club, HighClouds, and on EARMILK&#39;s The Slice playlist. &#34;Papa Was&#34; and &#34;Harlem Flat&#34; followed as singles from the &#x1d57e;&#x1d599;&#x1d597;&#x1d58a;&#x1d58a;&#x1d599; &#x1d56e;&#x1d586;&#x1d593;&#x1d589;&#x1d58e;&#x1d589; album, released in 2020. Mimo followed up that same year with her 4-song Shellshock EP. From 2021 through 2023, Mimo collaborated with Automatic Records trip-hop beat makers <a href="spotify:artist:2YY54bG2O2iLYgmLOBN3Jq" data-name="Adriatic">Adriatic</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:325qZediWjMYf6EDjhBlLm" data-name="Strange Dust">Strange Dust</a> on the Mars Took Over EP. This included the breakout singles &#34;An Introduction&#34; and &#34; Through Your Loving Eyes&#34; which saw extensive radio play and listenership throughout the U.S., France, and Canada.
