Mimo

Mimo is a Montreal-born artist based in New York City. Her unique musical style is a blend of poetry, neo-soul and alternative R&B—a hybrid style, inspired by her experiences, that she refers to as Street Jazz. duality and agility in a stunning way, seamlessly balancing singing and rap. Her lyricism addresses the complexities of being a girl from Montreal living the NY life, woven with themes of grief, loneliness, strength of character and identity.

Her music has been featured in HXXTIC magazine, Spotify's Montreal Chill playlist, Downers club, HighClouds, and on EARMILK's The Slice playlist. "Papa Was" and "Harlem Flat" followed as singles from the 𝕾𝖙𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖙 𝕮𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖎𝖉 album, released in 2020. Mimo followed up that same year with her 4-song Shellshock EP. From 2021 through 2023, Mimo collaborated with Automatic Records trip-hop beat makers Adriatic and Strange Dust on the Mars Took Over EP. This included the breakout singles "An Introduction" and " Through Your Loving Eyes" which saw extensive radio play and listenership throughout the U.S., France, and Canada.
