Mindflayer are a drums and electronics duo, one of many projects to emerge from the fertile Providence, RI, scene in the 1990s. Drummer <a href="spotify:artist:7BlrmDRvku2hLFjVFzP88i">Brian Chippendale</a>, who also played in <a href="spotify:artist:2og3FOCLYXT9H7IYE6QPUq">Lightning Bolt</a>, and electronics fellow Matt Brinkman of Forcefield began Mindflayer in 1996, playing regionally and releasing tapes and CD-Rs sporadically.
