Ilkka Kurkela AKA Mineral is an experienced atmospheric DnB producer & DJ hailing from Finland – producing since 1996! Mineral’s tracks are familiar from the recent sets by Bailey, Doc Scott, DJ Flight, Loxy, Double-O, Mantra, Jay Cunning, J:Kenzo, Resound, Fanu, Eschaton, Adz Smith, Meaux and Gary Scott to name a few… His tracks have aired at the British BBC, Metalheadz Rinse FM broadcast, and YleX Finnish national radio. Global support all the way from the clubs of Miami to Europe and even in Australia.

In addition to producing, Mineral has been spinning records as a DJ since 2001 and he was one of the promoters and organizers of the famous Pressure club in Tampere in the early 2000’s.

Mineral took a break from the scene at the 2010’s. He performed a massive comeback in 2020 and has since released dozens of tracks on several labels: Omni Music, Straight Up Breakbeat, Metius Music to name a few. His recent collaboration projects include an LP with Omni Music owner Eschaton, remix EP with the UK producer Moakz, plus collabos with Finnish junglists like Resound & Esc…. And there’s more to come… His solo album on Straight Up Breakbeat in 2023 "Where Do The Sounds Come From" got global support.
