Nashville based singer-songwriter, Minnie Murphy, moved from Bellingham, Washington with a record deal on Sony at the age of 19. Her debut single “Take Me To Texas Tonight” featuring Vince Gill garnered international airplay when she toured overseas, as well as national airplay in secondary radio markets. In 2010, she starred in the Mario Van Peebles film, Redemption Road, alongside Gary Clark Jr. performing her original jazz song, “Bluer Than Blue.” She also toured with Jack Ashford of Motown’s Funk Brother’s Band, and has performed with her sister Jamie O’Neal at The Grand Ole Opry as well as with Wendy Moten and Martina McBride. In 2022, she worked with famed director Charles Shyer on the Netflix film “The Noel Diary” where she co-wrote and co-produced several featured songs recorded by Steve Tyrell, Ty Herndon and AJ Wells. She has had her original songs recorded by American Idol winner, Laine Hardy, recording artist Sarah Darling, Jim Weatherly, Queeva, and many more. Minnie leads a national songwriting class with female veterans every week where she helps turn real life testimonies into therapy songs for the non-profit organization Freedom Sings. She is a proud mother and continues to perform, record and release original music while being a full time songwriter for Evergreen Publishing.
