A Singer/songwriter with a powerful voice and outstanding guitar skills, Mint Parker makes passionate and beautiful music that seems impossible to coexist. Influenced by many genres such as industrial rock, pop, jazz manouche, northern soul and country music, she hasn't been afraid to explore them all throughout her career.
Born and raised in Uruguay, she entered University to become a professional cellist but picked up the electric guitar as well and became the front woman of Vendetta, a grunge power trio. The band made a name on their own after opening for Guns n' Roses, featuring in major local music festivals and releasing their first album in 2008.
In 2010 Mint Parker began her solo career with an unexpected album that left behind her rock influences: Badaboom! It explores swing, folk and the 60’s mood. She was awarded with three Graffiti Prizes. In 2016’s Mala, she continues to explore the acoustic and vintage sounds.
Her 2021’s single "Fire", is a new music venture with disturbing lyrics and distorted guitars. When asked about this new direction she said "Life hit me and these happy songs are not expressing who I am now. For me it's not about creating beautiful melodies anymore as it's about creating an experience, and it might be an awful one".
She collaborated with many bands as a guest musician such as No Te Va Gustar, with whom she toured in 2019 and 2021. She also plays country music and often tours the USA with her side project, The Midnight Mezcal.
