Detroit-born and raised, child piano prodigy Mira Housey began competing nationally in classical piano at only seven years old. Her unmatched music theory background led her to win several competitions. The triple-threat learned how to produce her own music, started a band, and performed at local Michigan venues, blending her classical background with an upbeat emotional pop sound she calls "cinematic pop." All of her songs are written, recorded and produced entirely by herself.
Mira joined superproducer Rick Rubin's esteemed recording studio, Shangri-La, in 2021. She began posting her music on social media, going viral due to her clever lyricism and piano skills. In less than one year she earned over 300K new fans and placements on dozens of press and editorial playlists including New Music Friday, SALT, teen beats, Fresh Finds, young & free, Fresh Finds Pop, and more.
