Singer Mirla Castellanos started her career in the early '60s in Caracas, Venezuela, while singing in a band called Cuarteto los Naipes, soon debuting as a solo artist. In 1969, <a href="spotify:artist:3AjNPP9Ip3hi81HMbTaJkp">Castellanos</a> came in first place at Benidorm's Festival with a song written by <a href="spotify:artist:75n1ioKjHudUIuIm2ugUao">Manuel Alejandro</a>, later touring Europe successfully. In 1970, Mirla Castellanos came in second place at Mexico's Latin American Song Festival, the country where the artist decided to settled temporarily. In the 1970s, <a href="spotify:artist:3AjNPP9Ip3hi81HMbTaJkp">Castellanos</a> put on a show called Primerísima, presented live all over Latin America and reaching some venues in the U.S. Looking for new ways to express her passion for music, the talented singer released Venezuela, recorded along with the Venezuelan Symphonic Orchestra.
