Conjuring up lush swells of bombastic sound, Pōneke dream-fuzz group Mirror Ritual (fka Transistor) are an ever-evolving blend of warped pop sensibilities filtered through noisy, shoegaze-tinged psychedelia.
Following a year of hibernation since the release of ‘Contextualise’ and its supporting Extending Vision tour, their debut single under the Mirror Ritual moniker, 'Fear In All', sees the newly transfigured four piece of Lochie Noble, Mia Kelly, Eli Polaczuk and Riley Dick carry the previous sound of Transistor into a lush, explorative sonic space.
Resting on the unstable threshold of past and future, Mirror Ritual’s songs of hidden, yet pervasive fears set the soundtrack to a world of dreams and delusions. Their explosive, dynamic live sound weaves echo drenched melodies through fuzzed out guitars and lucid synthesisers, all held together by time-shifting bass grooves and propulsive rhythms.
