Misty Grey, a doom metal band formed in Madrid in 2011, quickly became one of Spain's prominent acts in the genre. Influenced by iconic bands like Black Sabbath and Iron Claw, the group began as a trio with Juan on guitar, Javi on drums, and Robin on bass. In May 2012, Malicia joined as the vocalist, and they made their live debut in October of that year.
The band released their first demo, "Demon," in 2013, followed by their second demo, "The Third Man," in 2014. Misty Grey gained recognition through live performances, including a show alongside Pagan Altar. Despite lineup changes, the band continued to evolve and recorded their debut album, "Grey Mist," released in 2016. They released their second LP, "Chapter II," in 2018 with new vocalist Bea.
In 2019, Misty Grey welcomed Ángel as their new vocalist, marking their first male vocalist ever. He made his debut in a live performance shortly after joining the band. During 2020 and 2021, Misty Grey worked diligently to complete seven new tracks for their third album. In June 2022, they recorded their highly anticipated album, "Visions from the Void." This album showcases the band's growth in sound and musicianship, aiming for a more direct metal sound reminiscent of Candlemass, Count Raven, Penance, Solitude Aeturnus, and early Danzig. Misty Grey is currently seeking a new recording deal to ensure the successful release of "Visions from the Void" and hopes it will establish itself as a staple in the modern doom metal genre.
