Mitch Cowen is a solo artist and virtuoso guitarist from Melbourne, Australia, bringing an old-school flair back to guitar-led music. He picked up his first guitar at 3 years old, after seeing The Wiggles in concert, and began lessons at age 4 on a ¼ size guitar.
He spent his teenage years honing his craft, immersing himself in the discographies of rock legends like Steve Vai, David Gilmour and Eddie Van Halen. His style further developed through discovery of fusion legends Frank Gambale, Brett Garsed and Greg Howe.
After leaving his music degree, he started touring full-time as a session guitarist at 19. By 21, he’d toured both nationally and internationally, with artists like Jason Singh (Taxiride), Reece Mastin (X Factor), The Terry’s, and Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera).
At 21, Mitch found a mentor in one of his guitar heroes, the legendary Brett Garsed - who played with the likes of John Farnham, Paul Stanley, Robbie Williams. After 3 months working together, Brett put himself forward to produce Mitch’s debut record.
Mitch’s first single ‘Twin Flame’ is set for release this November, with lots more planned for 2026.
