MJDorian

MJDorian is an anonymous music producer based in NYC. He writes dark and atmospheric pop songs, bringing together the best singers and rappers of NYC. The music is often fused with visual art and music videos that explore occult themes and shadowy characters.


In the age of overexposure, anonymity is an aberration. MJDorian wears a gas mask to ask the question: can you judge art without knowing the artist? Can you like a song without knowing the artist's ethnicity, attractiveness, gender, or age? The gas mask also plays into the narrative thread found throughout MJDorian's music videos; which present it as an object possessed by a poltergeist. When worn, the mask summons the darkest parts of yourself.


You must come into direct contact with the shadow inside of you and bring it into the light.


CATHARSIS is the 2018 debut concept album by MJDorian. It features collaborations with NYC&#39;s most exciting new singers, rappers, and musicians.
