Maduabuchi Kingsley Okpor, popularly known as MKO is a singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and an art enthusiast who brings creatives and corporate organisations together under one roof through his Art, Corporate and Social Event platform Art Fusion Night. MKO is also the CEO of Kojac Legacy International an event and media company which has represented major brands in UAE. MKO is not your traditional artist. He is a forward thinker who believes every business move should complement the other. Music is a passion but it becomes a plus when you can earn a living through your passion.
This is not a bio... It is a tool to inspire other artists to see themselves as creators who have the power to make themselves relevant through music and in business.
MKO released his first debut album ‘Diverse’ in late 2019. The 16 track album made history as the first Afro Pop album to be launched in the Middle East.
MKO’s favourite quote is ”music is the only common language we all speak. We can change the world if we can all connect with one another as we all connect with music.” Diverse is a full definition of his beliefs.
“Back home, the sound from the older generation has been modernised to create a new sound, commonly known as AfroBeats. Within this sound, there are different genres such as Afrofusion, Afrojuju, Afro Highlife and many others. My sound is primarily AfroPop, which infuses the pop culture vibe to the AfroBeat sound, so you can expect to hear this on the Diverse album.”
