mldá (pronounced mah-loo-dah [Maluda]) is the stage name of Keamogetswe Gosego Ncube, a South African artist carving his path in the Amapiano scene. Born and raised in Sunnyside, Pretoria, his deep-seated passion for the arts (mainly drawing & painting) was evident from a young age and further cultivated during high school, where he delved into music theory in musical grades 1 and 2, and applied this theoretical knowledge more practically into guitar playing. It was this newfound knowledge that steered him into the music industry as an events MC, DJ, and music producer.
Performing under both mldá and MaludaOfficial, he has collaborated on music with talents like Sthibo de Beat, De Rose, and Nicole Elocin, while sharing performance stages with industry leaders such as Kabza De Small, Busta 929, Mas Musiq, Shimza, Mörda, and Musa Keys. His vibrant sets have reached audiences from Pretoria’s streets and local festivals like the Tembisa Kota Festival and the Marapyane Annual Ditrupa Fest, to clubs like Zanzou — to international stages, including the 15th Annual African Festival of Boston (Boston, MA).
