The music of the band is rooted in the down-to-earth, smoky and bluesy Hammond funk and soul sounds. Also, they use elements of some contemporary music styles. It is from these effects the musical perception they call “modern vintage”. They knee deep in tradition with today’s mindset when it comes to the actual songwriting and producing. This is what makes their connection to their audience very present. Besides the very characteristic raw funk music, recently they brought in a flavor of traditional, southern sounding blues sounds, sometimes bending it with electronic elements.
After some self-produced singles, “Black Friday” caught the attention of Denver label Color Red and a remastered version (by Doug Krebs Mastering) came to light under this label in July, 2021. It’s a soulful slow burner about a heartbroken man. Besides its vintage funky and soul drums, bass and guitars, a guest musician, who later joined the band, played here on organ and electric piano.
Several other singles are in production at Color Red for the rest of 2021 and beyond.
István Balahoczky, bass, guitar, production
Csaba Gál Boogie, vox, guitars
Zoltán Gingl, drums, percussion, production
Dávid Benkő, hammond, wurlitzer, piano
