MOAK is a London based Spoken Word artist best known for his raw, captivating and powerful pieces. Coalescing the influences of battle rap, hip hop and contemporary performance poetry - MOAK beguiles listeners with witty wordplay and lyricism. His material covers various themes through his lens as a young black male. Since picking up the pen in 2013, MOAK has grown from strength to strength in his craft which was reflected in 2018 when he was nominated for Best Poet of the year by the UK Entertainment Awards. In 2019, he released his debut EP ‘This Is Us’ and with the lead track ‘Barbershop’ making it on BBC 6 Radio and also became a regular performer at Sofar Sounds. “Trust Your Voice” is MOAK’s personal mantra which he adheres to by continually putting faith in his writing talent whilst encouraging others to embrace and share their gifts.
