Móar

Móar initiated his musical journey in January 2024, when he and three friends from the Southern parts of Iceland decided to blend their musical talents. Their mission is simple. Having fun creating alternative rock tunes mixed perfectly with folk and country supported by heartfelt lyrics, all delivered in their native Icelandic tongue. They believe in the power of storytelling through song, connecting deeply with their audience through vivid narratives and relatable characters.

Móar, the former frontman of the Danish Rock and Roll band, Mom Calls Me Thunder, brings a wealth of experience from his days in the hard-rock scene. He leads on guitar and vocals, infusing the band's sound with raw energy drawn from a diverse palette of musical influences such as Nick Cave, Queens of the Stone Age, Tom Waits, and more.

Arnar Kári holds down the bass, providing the deep, driving rhythms that anchor the Móar's sound. With a decade of musical experience, he brings a steady hand and a keen ear to the mix. Meanwhile, Steinn Daði, on drums brings his precise rhythms and dynamic fills, adding depth and texture to the Móar's sound. Hróðmar with his pedal steel and excellent guitar skills is the cherry on the top supporting Móar with his unique sound.
