Mocoa formed October 29th 2023 when members Steve, Justin, Luc and Gus met while playing together in their mutual friend's cover band. They realized their musical potential and decided to form a band together

The search for a bassist led the group to be joined by Sophie who was in the band until her departure in September 2025. The group was then joined by their new bassist Anthony who saw Mocoa perform at the Glasshouse and enjoyed the band enough to join

The band is excited to have released their first single Crusher and hopes to release more music soon

Mocoa has a wide ray of musical influences such as bands like Metallica, Pantera, Slipknot, Carcass and Black Sabbath
