Modem is a self-recorded compilation of musings and meanderings, originating in Leeds but now treading the streets of London, UK.
Taking formation in 2019, <a href="spotify:album:0mIrPsHsBfAqrgjk7zFWZ7" data-name="Easy Stories">Easy Stories</a> represented a first foray into the world of self recorded music and was quickly followed up by their first album, <a href="spotify:track:2c1FjunoxE33hAb11dnTAD" data-name="Feeling Free in the 21st Century">Feeling Free in the 21st Century</a> , a conceptual album taking influences from <a href="spotify:artist:0oSGxfWSnnOXhD2fKuz2Gy" data-name="David Bowie">David Bowie</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:6VsiDFMZJlJ053P1uO4A6h" data-name="Public Service Broadcasting">Public Service Broadcasting</a> , and <a href="spotify:artist:5UqTO8smerMvxHYA5xsXb6" data-name="Sonic Youth">Sonic Youth</a> .
"There’s a pretty wide swathe of sounds across the record, from the blissed-out floating sensations on '<a href="spotify:track:2Pu7mF1HtaJ8MkmRIqh3zw" data-name="Heartbeat in the City">Heartbeat in the City</a> ' to the more fuzz-edged and driving likes of '<a href="spotify:track:0MLGmTxGScaArz5svOuzzW" data-name="Walking Through the Unknown">Walking Through the Unknown</a>’”- Richer Unsigned.
Early 2021 then saw the release of twin singles <a href="spotify:track:6Aa1fVAoMz7wwtIqxFYFi5" data-name="I Hear Your Voice">I Hear Your Voice</a> , and <a href="spotify:track:6mb4bhAHLezFwug3OYy12o" data-name="Above The Clouds">Above The Clouds</a>.

2024 represents a rejuvenated modem, with plans for both new music and their first ever live shows.
