Blending dynamic and melancholic singer-songwriter music with an entrancing psychedelic landscape, Modern Day Ghost Town provides a fresh sound to the indie music landscape. Modern Day Ghost Town's newest EP "A Crude Awakening From Sleep" was originally written acoustically, taking inspiration from Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Fleet Foxes, but later evolved to be contained within a psychedelic soundscape adjacent to that of The War on Drugs and Tame Impala, and to be accompanied by a rhythm section crafted of indie drums and jazz rock bass.

Modern Day Ghost Town is the one-man home project of Samuel Blair, a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who learned production for the sole purpose of finishing his EP. When his passion for music truly took off was 8th grade when Blair taught himself how to play guitar and bass guitar, immediately instilling unrealistic dreams of soon releasing an album, but he soon realized that writing unique music and self-production would take extensive time. Blair began writing full songs freshman year of high school, developing his unique style on acoustic guitar and soon after, taught himself how to sing. After two years of progress in his style, Blair began writing melancholic acoustic singer-songwriter songs. Over the course of his junior and senior year Blair built up his musical knowledge through personal study and playing in Jazz Band. He then spent this past summer and autumn teaching himself music production, finishing the puzzle.
