The ModReaktor sound is always changing, always evolving. “I can’t stay doing one type of thing for long, in any aspect of my life. I am always trying something different, but it’s what I enjoy”.
ModReaktor hails from Nottingham and in his early years he produced jungle techno EPs as Bass Ballistics and More Bass Than Fingers for J4M records.
As a DJ and producer, he takes inspiration from many different genres and has played everything over the past few decades, blending ragga to techno, hip hop and electro to drum & bass, house and lo-fi to funk and soul. His DJ sets often have an AV aspect and include cut-n-paste mixes.
He learned African percussion for many years in Djembe classes with Root Rhythm in Nottingham.
ModReaktor has recently DJ’ed and performed his music at various venues in Nottingham, London, Bristol, Leicester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Derbyshire and Wales. More to follow…
