Modus Operandi

After getting to know each other for the first time, Ben and Jonas became inseparable, not only as friends, but also as artists.

Modus Operandi tries to challenge itself on all aspects: both gentlemen where there when their HouseMade concept was born, already played at a vernissage where ½ of the duo painted live, the other half DJ’d live on stage with a rockband and oh, they also make their own artwork and promovids. Artistic do-alls that don’t like to be pushed into a box: their tracks are playfull, refreshing but still keeping an eye on trends. Challenging the status quo is good, having fun while doing it? Even better.

In 2018 both gentlemen started to fiddle around with synths and drum machines which resulted in releases on 10I10 Music, Taub Recordings & Pron Records.

Making tracks is fun, playing in front of a small or big audience even better. Modus Operandi has played local (Rock Landen, Lust Oudoor) and less local venues (Dance-D-vision & Charlatan). As needle on the vinyl cake Studio Brussels aired their Studio Ibiza Mixtape during the summer of 2k18 & 2k19 on national radio. And oh, almost forgot: they also curate a monthly mixtape for local radio station Passion FM.

Local, regional or national: both gentlemen never lose track of what it’s really all about: having some damn fun.
