Mollusk

Mollusk is a three piece alternative band from Bridgwater, Somerset. They formed in 2023, coming together from a shared love of sleazy guitar solos, screaming, comfortable awkwardness, and being nice to each other. Musically, the band initially bonded over their shared love of <a href="spotify:artist:3l14gV4hIMAjmo7KUvEWTx" data-name="Elastica">Elastica</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3btzEQD6sugImIHPMRgkwV" data-name="Wolf Alice">Wolf Alice</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5SHQUMAmEK5KmuSb0aDvsn" data-name="Hole">Hole</a>… and guitarist Grace’s obsession with <a href="spotify:artist:3nnQpaTvKb5jCQabZefACI" data-name="Jeff Buckley">Jeff Buckley</a>. The band’s debut single ‘Taken By The Wind’ is a 4 minute jagged post-punk anti ballad that perfectly introduces the band&#39;s fizzing janky grunge energy, direct whip smart lyricism and burnt sugar ear for skewed pop melody. The band recently supported Fierce Panda act <a href="spotify:artist:3ygItx4xOyxkoaAZD9sc19" data-name="China Bears">China Bears</a> on their SXSW warm up, and disco punk band Wicked Chip, before their first official headline show at the Bridgwater Arts Centre.
