Molly White’s songs appeal to a wide audience and are lyric centric, inspired by folk and rock music from the 20th century. The music is cinematic and colorful, performed, orchestrated and arranged with real instruments by the generous Giulio Carmassi (Pat Metheny), Molly White and other incredible human guest artists like Elena Degl’Innocenti, Steve Werner, Steve Postell, Leticia Meza, Jim Doyle, Ted Camp and others.
Having spent a decade playing music with and for children, Molly’s last two releases are inspired by these glitter-covered creative wanderers, who have made an indelible mark on her heart, sincere with requests for new material of the magical and fantastical.
Molly’s interest in daily writing and poetry as practice led her to write songs for the album B is for Baroness, and since then she has continued collaborating with band mates Elena Degl’innocenti and Sherri Canon for projects like Peach & Knife and the Bushwick Book Club, many songs still to be recorded and released ... one day!
