Mon Rayon is a Swedish duo featuring Josef and Christoffer, who transitioned from seasoned session musicians to an innovative musical partnership as flatmates. Their distinctive sound marries 60s French pop with spaghetti western motifs, enriched by their flawless dual-vocal harmonies and evocative instrumental arrangements.

Josef and Christoffer are hands-on with every phase of their music production, from songwriting and recording to production, mixing, and mastering. They occasionally bring in string players but retain full creative control to ensure their unique sound remains intact.

Starting out as a drummer and bassist, Josef and Christoffer have evolved into charismatic guitar-playing frontmen. Their collaboration began when Christoffer’s former band, Kone Mara, needed a drummer, leading to a deep friendship and a revitalised passion for music. Over time, they've crafted a style influenced by a variety of musical and cinematic references, focusing on minimising digital interference and embracing traditional methods.

Operating out of Stockholm, they continue to lend their talents as session musicians for artists such as Jackie Mere, Emilia Pantic, Maia Hirasawa, Nadja Evelina, and Boys and Ivy. Despite these commitments, Mon Rayon remains their primary focus. A highlight of their career includes Josef's recent performance with Jackie Mere at the Swedish Grammys, and the band’s debut live performance at Sweden’s largest music festival ‘Way Out West’.
