Brazilian-born singer-songwriter Monique Messier blends soul-baring vocals with vulnerable storytelling. Her writing style creates a sound that sits somewhere between soft pop and acoustic rock. Rooted in a musical family and shaped by the emotional depth of Brazilian genres, Monique’s music explores the edges of growing up, love, and identity.After opening for Canadian country artist Andrew Hyatt and winning Algonquin’s Got Talent in 2025, Monique continues her momentum with a deeply personal two-part headliner series this summer and fall in Ottawa. Her debut single <a href="spotify:track:0RSXSeLIr8JpyqvwsSiPLJ" data-name="Soulmates">Soulmates</a> (2024) marked the beginning of her journey, but these upcoming shows represent a creative breakthrough.Recently graduated in Algonquin College’s Music Industry Arts program, Monique is building toward her first EP while performing across Ontario.
