Bristol based duo Monkey Wrench, otherwise known as Liam and Declan, have been writing music together since 2012. Gaining early support on BBC Radio 1 from B. Traits with their Carnival House track 'Colombia'.

Moving forward from their fruition the boys collaborated with UK Bass collective Spoils, to produce Enemies In The Dance EP; which gained massive support including DJ EZ, My Nu Leng and DJ Target. It led to remix work for some big labels including Mad Decent and Sony Music.

2018 saw the duo establish their self-titled label and release a stream of projects; including their bootleg of ‘Eddie Kendricks - Intimate Friends’. This limited white label gained support from Laurent Garnier, Skream and Monki whose names can be added to the impressive list of DJs the pair have picked up support from over the years.

Most recently Monkey Wrench have been making waves with their Disco, Afro and Funk inspired House sounds. 2020 has been productive for the duo: They released the first two instalments of their Edits Series on their Bandcamp and have secured releases on theBasement Discos and Sundries.

You can catch the boys on the last Saturday of every month playing on Bristol’s premier radio station SWU.FM
