Hailing from the darkest corners of nocturnal drives, bohemian adventures and questionable decisions, Mono Clones deliver Late Night Rock — the only genre worthy of soundtracking your 3 a.m. existential crisis, your 25th-hour love escapades or that last alcohol shot you definitely didn’t need.
Their songs are like little slices of the hours between midnight and dawn, when everything feels either too real or not real enough and conversations have more often than not hidden intentions and double meanings.
Influenced by the usual suspects — Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Doors, and some Last Shadow Puppets flair for the drama — Mono Clones sound like the lovechild of a forgotten mixtape and your coolest friend's record collection.
Expect gritty guitars swimming in reverb, vocals that range from slow crooning to "fast as an auctioneer on caffeine" rock'n'roll singing, and enough swagger to keep you driving well past your exit.
