Based out of South Texas, Monolith Rex had been an idea lingering in the mind of the creator as a solo project since 2013, that is until October of 2024, when that idea came to fruition. Rather than spiraling downward, life changing circumstances forced the one man project to direct his energies into a more constructive artistic outlet.
The overall lyrical theme is based on the trials and tribulations of the human condition. It's about grief, loss, pain, solitude and regret. A theme everyone knows well, yet, it is not about self pity. It's about acknowledgement, acceptance and overcoming those facets of your life. It is about catharsis and redemption.
