In his own dreamy, synth, and dark universe, Monopoly Loser invites his audience on a trip to explore what's creeping in the dark corners of his mind.
A solo project of indie singer, songwriter Erik Deák (Monopoly Loser), originally coming from a Ukrainian/Hungarian background, based in Liege, Belgium, he released his first single High in December 2018. Through a synth-pop, light piano melancholic sound he spoke to the listeners about his nostalgia for childhood and how living was easier when he was a child.
Monopoly Loser likes to experiment with sound but keeps drama, sadness, and remorse.
2021 was a very fruitful year for the artist as he started releasing a new single every month and experimenting with styles from a dark and blue "Leave No Trace" to a synthpop dancing "Clubkid"; From mental health-related indietronica "Faded" to an anti-homophobic sadcore "Wicked Boys".
