It’s a rare thing when new music makes you nostalgic for a feeling rather than a place. The crunch of guitars through garage amps, the thump of drums in a crowded basement, the way a cool breeze hits your face as autumn leaves crackle underfoot. Music that carries both rawness and warmth, reflecting the weight and wonder of everyday life. Where intimacy and atmosphere ride waves of fuzz and echo.

Monster Machine came together in fall 2023, born out of years of friendship and a desire to see where Andrew’s growing catalog of songs might lead. Playing guitar and singing, he joined forces with longtime collaborators: Josh (lead guitar, vocals), Kyle (bass), Josh (guitar, vocals), and Jon (drums). Three electric guitars weave through each other to build a sound that spans from the grit of grunge to the expanse of post-rock ambience—all anchored by a rhythm section that keeps everything steady and strong.

Their songs read like personal journal entries, capturing memory with narrative clarity. And live, Monster Machine pushes those stories further. They are a study in momentum and chemistry, pulling energy from one another and the crowd to stretch riffs, deepen atmospheres, and lock into grooves that feel both precise and alive. Melodies collide and dissolve, improvisation arises, and the songs feel more like a conversation—equal parts catharsis and community.
