Monstrophe is a five-piece hard rock band based out of Des Moines, IA. The band is driven to create music which welcomes all audiences to escape from reality through music. Influenced by various sub-genres of rock, Monstrophe makes hard-hitting yet melodic songs by combining meaningful lyrics with powerful instrumentals.
In 2021, bassist Ace Tipton, guitarist Jayden Young, and drummer AJ Fucalaro met while in a cover band called JANA. This band would perform radio favorites from all varieties of rock and metal music across the state.
During the summer of 2022, JANA would earn the title of Best Band in the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Annual 21 & Under Talent Competition. AJ would take home the individual title of Best Instrumentalist as a part of this same competition.
Early in 2023, JANA would split ways, and Ace, Jayden, and AJ would decide to form a band committed to writing original music based on all the bands they had covered in their time with JANA. After searching, vocalist Jayden “Erdy” Erdman and guitarist Anthony Cooper were added to the lineup, and Monstrophe was born.
Monstrophe released its first studio single ‘On Fire’ in June of 2023, and is working to finish writing and recording their debut album. In the meantime, catch Monstrophe performing in the Midwest, and give a follow to their social media pages to get frequent updates on performances and original music.
