Monte Chaqil

Rapper/Artist MONTÉ CHAQIL was born in 1994. A California kid from Palm Springs who's family move to NC where he grew up in Raleigh, NC. Drawing inspiration from the Legends that came before him, spending a lot of time perfecting his craft day in day out. MONTÉ CHAQIL which "Chaqil" is his middle name grew up listening to artist like Bob Marley, TuPac, Lil Wayne, Micheal Jackson, DMX, Big L, Rakim etc. He always knew he wanted to be an artist at the age of 10 he wrote his very 1st song as a 6th grader finding music as a way to express himself. Arriving to high school in 2009 “Mitch” quickly started to Rap Battle his peers throughout the school from Seniors to his own class of freshmen gaining a name & a reputation as a true Emcee ripping freestyles off the head. The Raleigh based artist wasted no time putting the city on his back. In 2012 he created the brand known as NINE19 ENT. eventually changed to NINE19 ORIGINAL which represents the RDU area code “919” & a Deeper meaning spiritually. Creating this lifestyle brand was a great start engaging the city & promoting his music spreading awareness of his authentic sound around the city. 2020 he returns with a fresh EP entitled “NO MASTER NO MIX JUST MITCH” a 7-track project created in Atlanta,Ga that illustrates multiple sounds Montè Chaqil has to offer from “911” speaking on racism & police brutality to “Anti Bad Energy” an Up tempo happy go lucky song speaking on being positive & giving out uplifting vibes.
