MonteSierra

Formed in 2017 in the San Fernando Valley, California by Enrique (Ricky) Torres on guitar and vocals, Gerardo (Ganso) Salomon on guitar and vocals, Yahir Gonzalez on bass guitar, and Jesus (Chewy) Jimenez on drums, MonteSierra has gone through ups and downs, including many name changes such as This Last Time, and Take to the Sky, but have stayed together through everything. During the fall of 2017, MonteSierra was formed when Ricky randomly thought of creating a band due to his love for venting through music. He met Yahir years before through a cover band he was previously in. Short after, he met Ganso earlier that year, so he thought it would be a good idea to ask them, and long story short, they agreed. With Ricky on bass, Yahir on drums, and Ganso on guitar, they made a couple of songs but it didn’t seem right. Knowing that they needed an extra member, they decided to put Ricky on guitar, Yahir on bass, and new member Chewy on drums (Ricky and Chewy met years before and had been good friends for a long time when he was invited to the band). After this, they began writing music as a full band and eventually, began recording their debut EP “Unexpected Reflections” in the Fall of 2019 which then released on December 10th.
