The sound of British 4-piece Mood Organ is both distinctive and eclectic - with just two EPs under their belt, the Leeds group have quickly gained support from Only a Northern One, York Calling, The Punk Head and more by blending eccentric, tongue-in-cheek lyrics with catchy riffs and unusual chord sequences.
The band's first EP, <a href="spotify:album:7FuzLkCAN7z3XVScxD1whl" data-name="Slightseeing">Slightseeing</a> (2021), was written and recorded remotely throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, shortly followed by <a href="spotify:album:5n2NlwjPXdbqFXargNTLw0" data-name="Iconic Bench Scenes">Iconic Bench Scenes</a> (2022), the result of many in-person writing sessions over the year. Both were produced by bassist Ben Stinson at Longwater Productions, dabbling in disco, punk, prog and blues rock whilst maintaining a signature psychedelic indie style.
Live, Mood Organ have headlined Otley Social Club and Leeds’ Eiger Studios, and have shared the stage with established acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:7DprPha4AJdzPRGeo2t86Q" data-name="Bull">Bull</a> (EMI/Young Thugs Records) and <a href="spotify:artist:3tW2ocpP6a9HqZoWgn45kn" data-name="Mandrake Handshake">Mandrake Handshake</a> (Nice Swan Records).
