Equal parts DJ, producer, and songwriter, Nashville Based MOONLGHT is a genre-bending force reshaping what it means to be an artist in today’s global music scene. The project is the brainchild of multi-platinum producer Stefan Schonewille, co-founder of Pacific—a songwriting and production collective behind billions of streams and multiple platinum records.
Born in the Netherlands and raised across Europe, MOONLGHT lived everywhere before settling in the U.S. He picked up the guitar at six, played in bands throughout his youth, and later found his calling in production—crafting a sound rooted in electronic music and layered with country, classic rock, pop, and hip-hop textures.
MOONLGHT broke out in 2024 with viral flips of classic rock anthems, including a bold interpolation of “Free Bird” that racked up tens of millions of streams. Since then, he’s lit up both sawdust-covered stages and world-class festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Stagecoach, and Beyond Wonderland with high-energy sets and unexpected mashups.
2025 is already in motion, with an official remix of Trace Adkins’ “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and a rework of “There She Goes” alongside Cyril and The La’s—earning over a million TikTok creates. With momentum building fast, MOONLGHT is just getting started. 🌘🌘
