Moonlight Cove

Moonlight Cove was founded in 1994 by Marcus Karlsson, Mattias Löfroth and Markus Landgren. Inspired and influenced by local synthpop act Presence of Mind, the band recorded their first 4-track demotape "Depressive Feelings" in 1996. The opening track "Rain" has ever since been the band's signature song - often featured as a closing track when playing live.

In the years that followed, the band released a few singles, including "Marching the Line", "Rainy Side" and "Fallen Star". As teenagers in a small Swedish town, the band's lyrics at this time revolved around heartbreak and dreams of the world.

The band released their debutalbum "Orphans of the Storm" in 2008. The album dealt with the difficulties of being in a relationship and finding one's place. The band played a handful of shows to celebrate the album - the high points being gigs in Gothenburg and Berlin.

2012 saw the release of "Hearts of the World", the band's second album. Lighter in tone and voice, the lyrics dealt with feelings of hopefullness and seeing things from another, more positive perspective.

Since 2014 the band has released singles only.

The band resides in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
