Moonloops is the mind of singer-songwriter Sarah Dekker. Armed with a beaten-up guitar and an old MacBook she started recording and producing her own songs in her bedroom back in 2020. With upwards of 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is ready to share her stories with the world. She released her first studio album "Little Astronaut, Big Dreams" in January 2024. This album explores themes like home, loneliness and misunderstanding with magical songs that keep haunting you. Moonloops also played at notable festivals such as Oerol, ESNS, and Popronde in 2023.
As of 2025, it’s been 5 years since Moonloops’ debut, a bedroom project called ‘Ghost’. With 2024 being a year full of new music, fans have repeatedly asked how ‘Ghost’ would sound with Moonloops’ current spacey sound and life experience. For its 5th anniversary, Moonloops and producer Bo Boer set out to recreate the record, to capture the essence of the songs, and reinterpret them with Moonloops’ signature sound.
‘Ghost (2025)’ - the record - was released exactly 5 years after its initial release, on July 31st, along with 3 bonus tracks and a limited edition vinyl.
