Moonwards – a word brimming with yearning and wanderlust – is a band from Helsinki, Finland, whose music speaks to these very themes. Drawing much of their inspiration from alternative rock, shoegaze, and new wave acts of the 1980s and ‘90s, the band offers their own brand of left field rock music soaked in layers of melodic guitar lines and contemplation on love and loss.
In February 2024 the band released their self-titled debut EP which has already been heard on Finnish radio stations Radio Helsinki and Roll FM, and abroad on DKFM Shoegaze Radio in the US. Moonwards have also been featured by the likes of Music Finland and the leading Finnish music magazine Soundi, among others.
A long-awaited sophomore EP "Moonwards II" is coming out in May 2025!
