In 1998, Paulsen recorded his first self-produced demo with self-written songs at StudioNor in Trondheim. Later on, the demo «Better Days» caught interest by an American management and eventually ended up in a collection album in Nashville. The song “Better Days” from climbed on various country lists in the United States.
Morten Paulsen received nominations for five awards – “1999 October Award’s Nashville”. Here was rewarded #Top European Country Artist in the United States marked.
