Møster! is announcing their 6th full length album, four years after their critically acclaimed Dust Breathing (Hubro, 2020). A diverse reference pallette has been a trademark of all Møster! releases, but now the various sources of inspiration has been morphed into the most wholesome album by the Norwegian quartet so far. The compositions are all signed saxophonist and band leader Kjetil Møster. His 25 years as a musician and artist has been built on juggling a vast diversity of musical genres, and the work is clearly bearing fruits. Built on the same foundation as earlier; an amalgam of 1960's/1970's modal acoustic and electric jazz and 1970's experimental rock, the references might also echo Brazilan music, doom, contemporary music, 1990's indie rock and metal, and nordic ambient house. An ear for the sonic connections between these genres and seamlessly morphing them into a singular band sound is one of the strong qualities of Springs. The band lineup is still the same: Motorpsycho guitarist Hans Magnus 'Snah' Ryan; electric bass player of Elephant9 Nikolai Hængsle; and Spidergawd and ex-Motorpsycho drummer Kenneth Kapstad are all displaying their extremely high level of musicianship and sensitivity to choosing the most suitable way if interpreting Møster's compositions. The band was called a 'super group' when it was founded, but while super groups are often short lived, this one is now in their 15th year together, still nurturing and developing a fruitful relationship.
