Mount Weak

Mount Weak is the name of Ruth Zofia Skrytek's electronic solo project that has been established since 2012. Ruth's first experiences in writing music started young, fronted by a MIDI keyboard and microphone. The slightly primitive sound of the Ink Heart EP captured the hearts and minds of a small amount of fans on Tumblr.

In Easter 2014, the single 'Paradise Lost' from the self-titled debut album reached almost 20k plays in just over a week on Soundcloud. Mount Weak went from being a quiet solo project, to a much more self-aware musical endeavour. Following this, Paradise Lost was released as a single/EP featuring B-side tracks.

After almost 2 years of writing music and studying, "All the Answers" was released following a break to focus on freelance work in Interior Architecture. Mount Weak has combined a mix of inspirations from Aphex Twin, Bjork and Grimes along with many more contemporary artists whilst some influences came from classical poets like John Milton and horror and sci-fi fiction authors such as H.P Lovecraft.

Ruth is now a design tutor residing in Nottingham, writing, performing and recording music during spare time. Future projects are currently in the making.
