Mountain Ash are an indie-rock band from Brisbane blending textured and jagged guitars, melodic bass and hypnotic drums with ethereal and tender dream pop vocals.
After forming in Brisbane in 2019, the band released 2 singles in 2020, with Signals making the hottest 100 on 4ZZZ and being played on triple J unearthed. With pop sensibilities, hooky guitars and melancholic undertones, Mountain Ash bring a fresh take on 90s alternative, new wave, shoegaze and dreampop. Their live shows best display the depth, wall of noise and groove of their unique sound.
Their debut EP is due to be released in 2023, and the first single, “Take me away", is out now.
