Mouraine is a Sudan-born, Edmonton-based rapper whose journey from immigrant youth to international performer has made him one of Canada’s most dynamic voices in hip-hop. A 4x WCMA-nominated artist and Explore Edmonton ambassador, Mouraine first connected with language and identity through music—learning English by studying rap lyrics, and later channeling that passion into writing rhymes and performing alongside icons like J. Cole, Mac Miller, Pusha T, and T-Pain.

In 2023, Mouraine released his debut album In Search of Gold via. Birthdaycake Records. The project, produced by deadmen , features WESTSIDE BOOGIE , JRDN , and Moto , and dives deep into themes of purpose, growth, and self-discovery. The album earned playlist spots on Apple Music’s Rap Life, It’s Lit!, and New in Hip-Hop, and Spotify’s Northern Bars, Beats n’ Bars, and more. It debuted at #4 on the NACC Hip-Hop Adds chart and landed Mouraine in rotation on SiriusXM’s Mixtape North.
