Los Angeles' Movement Ex lasted long enough to release one powerful album of Five Percent Nation-inspired themes. The self-titled album, recorded while both members were teens and released in 1990 on Columbia, failed to make much of an impact on the hip-hop world, but it held its own when compared to other confrontational and politically charged albums from Paris, X-Clan, and Lakim Shabazz. The duo consisted of MC Lord Mustafa Hasan Ma'd and DJ King Born Khaaliq. They apparently parted ways after that. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
