Mr. Hymn is the moniker for songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dominic Sena out of Austin, TX. After a handful of alluring EPs combining electronic and experimental production with natural instruments, Mr. Hymn released his first proper full length September 6th, 2019.
Creation of this record took Dominic to Guadalajara, Mexico, where he worked with the Oven Recording Company, friends from his high school years in Mexico. The record that emerged is the most fully realized Mr. Hymn release to date, an aptly self-titled arrival of his true artistic intent.
Sena crafted the album through the return to a more natural style of instrumental production while maintaining the signature dreamy expansiveness and spiritual density that Mr. Hymn specializes in. These are songs that are inspired equally by the past and present, using traditional instrumentation as well as samples and synthesizers to bring a long-awaited vision to life.
