Mr Milise

Mr Mílise has been plying his trade as a lyricist for more than 15 Years. Early influences inc 90s Rappers Nas, Big L,
Raekwon, & Slick Rick who effortlessly painted
a picture of their environment. Mr Mílise credits Gil Scott Heron (The Revolution Will Not Be Televised) & Mike Skinner from The Streets for his exposure to the World of Spoken Word. Aswell as Rapping and MCing over Drum & Bass and Garage (Working alongside Ms Dynamite, Akala, Ghetts & More as an Alter Ego ) Mílise would experiment with Poetry and the Art of StoryTelling on a beat & creating thought provoking Acapellas. Mr Mílise (Which interprets as “He Spoke” from Ancient Greek) would draw from a “Colourful Upbringing full of Interesting and Unsavoury Characters who lived their lives on the Margins of Society” He’d often pen intricate narratives which reflected on his background and has been published by UNICEF & commissioned by the BBC. Mr Mílise demonstrates a well informed understanding of current issues in our Communities such as Knife Crime, Homelessness & Mental Health. His work & Performances have been positively received & some of his pieces have been used by Police Forces, Schools, & Councils as part of Youth Awareness Initiatives across the UK.
His intention is to adopt a role as a Voice For The Voiceless and hopes to grow a platform/network on the Poetry Circuit to help communicate a message from those who have faced challenging circumstances & adversity across the Country and further afield..
