Abimbola Solomon, known as Mr. Prolly, is a Lagos-based rapper redefining the Nigerian music scene with his unique fusion of rap and Afrofusion. Born on February 17 and raised in Gbagada, Lagos, with roots in Ondo, Mr. Prolly’s versatile sound draws from a wide range of influences, including J. Cole, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Burna Boy, S.D.C., Vector, and M.I Abaga. Growing up, he absorbed the rhythms of Afrobeat, Reggae, Jazz, and Hip-Hop, shaping his reflective and socially conscious artistry.

Since discovering his knack for writing poetry and rap lyrics in secondary school, Mr. Prolly has used music as a coping mechanism, delving into themes of social injustice, relationships, lifestyle, and everyday struggles. Debuting with On God featuring Ayoeshin in 2021, he’s continued to captivate listeners, releasing his most recent single, Company, in 2024. With his compelling storytelling and relatable lyrics, Mr. Prolly crafts music that resonates on a deep psychological level.
